A Complete Guide to Monegasque Beers: From Monte Carlo Beer to Local Specialties
Sep 29, 2025
When we talk about Monaco, luxury, wine, yachts or the Grand Prix usually come to mind. But a less expected world is quietly gaining ground: beer. Since its creation in 2019, Monte Carlo Beer (MCB) has gradually established itself as a local reference, artisanal, refined, and rooted in the spirit of the Riviera.
In this article, we take you on a journey through the Monegasque beer scene, from MCB to local creations, from must-visit spots to future ambitions.
Monte Carlo Beer: Our Brewing Pride in Monaco
We saw Monte Carlo Beer come to life with a clear ambition: to bring the French Riviera a light, characterful beer without compromising on aesthetics. Founded by William Scheffer and Anthony Orengo, the brand set out to create thirst-quenching beers, tailored to the Mediterranean climate and to Monaco’s unique lifestyle. In 2025, Monte Carlo Beer marked a major milestone with an exclusive partnership with Molson Coors to launch a super-premium lager in the UK market.
We built a strong identity based on local roots, sleek design, limited editions such as the Grand Prix and Yachting Club series, and a premium positioning. Our range includes Blonde Ale, our refreshing signature beer; Amber Ale, richer with caramel notes; IPA, bold and hoppy for more adventurous palates. We also offer limited editions like the Yachting Club Blonde for the Monaco Yacht Show, and the Panaché Pack in collaboration with DAGHE, a blend of beer and lemonade.
We make sure all our ingredients come from sustainable sources.
Beer Culture and Local Traditions in Monaco
You’ve probably heard of the Monaco cocktail, a mix of beer, lemonade, and grenadine. Popular in France, its rosy hue reflects the colors of the Monegasque flag. We see it as a bridge between tradition and creativity, proof that beer can be festive, light, and proudly local.
In Monaco, beer is making its mark at events, trendy bars and social gatherings. It’s no longer just a casual drink, it's becoming part of the local lifestyle. With Monte Carlo Beer, we aim to drive this shift by giving beer a strong identity and showing that it can also be elegant.
Where to Enjoy Monte Carlo Beer: Our Picks and Presence
You can already find us in some of Monaco’s most popular venues, including beach bars, seaside restaurants, and key cultural spots. On Untappd, Monte Carlo Beer is featured at the Casino de Monte-Carlo, Brasserie de Monaco, La Pampa, the Café de Paris, and more. The Café de Paris, located across from the Casino, offers a Belle Époque atmosphere ideal for enjoying a beer with a Riviera twist.
Thanks to our partnership with Molson Coors, we’ve recently launched a super-premium lager for the UK market. Through our official online store, we deliver to several countries, including France. Our products also appear on platforms like Wine-Searcher, with delivery depending on your location.
Our Discovery Packs, limited editions and the Panaché collaboration with DAGHE are all available online. The Panaché Pack includes six beers and six artisanal sodas for a true Monaco-style cocktail experience.
Monte Carlo Beer: Our Vision for the Future
We don’t intend to remain just Monaco’s beer. Our goal is to export the Riviera lifestyle worldwide. The UK launch was a major step, and we’re developing new collaborations, themed editions and exclusive partnerships.
Sustainability is central to our values. We’re committed to going further with organic beers, reduced carbon footprint, and recyclable packaging. For us, a great beer also means caring about the planet.
When you open a Monte Carlo Beer, it’s more than just a drink. It’s a moment, a sip of Monaco’s elegance, sunshine and shared joy. We want MCB to become a festive, modern symbol of the Monegasque way of life.
Conclusion
We believe Monte Carlo Beer has a bright future. In a world shaped by luxury, it’s redefining what beer can be, bringing freshness, character and a true sense of place.
We invite you to enjoy it, gift it, share it, and follow its evolution. The best is yet to come.
