THE PROCESS
We are committed to preserving our identity as a local beer. Therefore, while we await the opening of our own brewery in the Principality, Monte Carlo Beer is produced in Mouans Sartoux at a 100% organic brewery equipped with cutting-edge technology, particularly in the brewing of ingredients.
In our endeavor to maintain optimal quality in our products, systematic tests are conducted by an independent laboratory accredited by the French Accreditation Committee (COFRAC), ensuring that each batch of beer fully complies with quality and hygiene standards.
The recipes for Monte Carlo Beer are officially registered to protect and preserve their unique identity. The ingredients used are carefully selected, and all products have been certified Organic Agriculture since 2023.
THE PROCESS EXPLAINED
Mashing and Extracting Sugars
This step involves mixing malted barley with hot water to create a mash, where enzymes break down starches into fermentable sugars. It's a fundamental process that lays the foundation for the beer's flavor and alcohol content.
Boiling and Hop Addition
Boiling the wort and adding hops is essential for imparting bitterness, flavor, and aroma to the beer. It's during this stage that the wort is sterilized, and hops are added at specific times to achieve the desired balance of flavors.
Fermentation
Fermentation is where the magic happens. Yeast is added to the cooled wort, initiating the conversion of sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide. This transformative process not only produces alcohol but also contributes to the beer's unique character and complexity.
